At 140 mm long with a 26.8 mm head, the Nitecore P17iX combines a compact carry size with three selectable beam patterns: broad Floodlight, balanced Mixed Light and focused Spotlight. Four regular brightness levels run from 15 to 1500 lumens. For short high-output use, LUMIN SHIELD reaches up to 5000 lumens, while the separate 2500-lumen SEARCH mode delivers a rated 330 m beam. The 5000-lumen figure is a special-mode maximum, not regular Turbo output.

Dual tail controls and a side SET button let you customise direct-access settings for different grips and tasks. A Rapid Lock switch helps prevent accidental operation during carry. The hard-anodised 7075-T6 aluminium body is IP68-rated, waterproof to 2 m and impact resistant to 2 m. Weight is 178 g with the battery included.

The included removable NL2155HPi 5500 mAh battery charges through the flashlight's USB-C port, supporting up to 18 W PD/QC charging. Allow approximately two hours with a compatible fast charger or three hours with a 5 V / 2 A adapter. Maximum rated runtime is 100 hours at 15 lumens; peak output is temperature-regulated and is not a sustained-brightness promise. Conventional 21700 and 18650 batteries are incompatible. Made in China.

Manufacturer ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019 tests at 26°C use the included 5500 mAh 21700 i Series battery or two 1600 mAh CR123 cells. Output and runtime are the same across Floodlight, Mixed Light and Spotlight at each regular level, but beam distance differs. Marked output data were tested without temperature regulation; actual results vary and rated runtime does not mean constant maximum brightness. No runtime is specified for LUMIN SHIELD, SEARCH, WARNING FLASH or STROBE. Peak modes reduce output for thermal protection. Do not charge CR123/RCR123 batteries in the flashlight.
