The Nitecore HA29 UHE is a rechargeable headlamp with up to 1200 lumens and a 170 m beam using its included 2500 mAh HLB2500 all-weather battery. Six dual-core MCT UHE LEDs offer warm 3000K light with CRI 98, neutral 4500K with CRI 85 and cool 6500K with CRI 73, alongside auxiliary red light.

The removable HLB2500 charges through its own USB-C port in approximately 2 hours 20 minutes with a 5V/2A supply and provides up to 122 hours at 8 lumens. It supports operation down to -40°C, with output restrictions: Turbo is unavailable at -10°C or below and High falls to approximately 400 lumens between -40°C and -30°C. These are operating limits, not charging temperatures. The included MBC10 case accepts an optional HLB1500 pack or three AAA alkaline or Ni-MH batteries, with lower maximum outputs. AAA batteries are not included.

The complete HLB2500 configuration weighs 112 g with bracket and headband. A clip and diffusing stuff sack provide additional mounting and camp-lighting options. Water resistance is IPX8 with HLB2500 or IPX6 with the MBC10 case, and impact resistance is 1 m. Electronic lockout helps prevent accidental activation; follow the manual's battery and safety instructions.

Direct Ultralow access starts in neutral white; SOS and Beacon use neutral white. Standard white-level ratings cover all three colour temperatures. Actual results vary with battery and environment. Which battery and charging method are included?

The HA29 UHE includes a removable HLB2500 2,500mAh pack with its own USB-C port. Charging takes about 2 hours 20 minutes with a 5V/2A adapter.

Can I switch to AAA batteries?

Yes: the included MBC10 case accepts an optional HLB1500 pack or three AAA alkaline/Ni-MH cells (not included). Maximum output drops to 800 lumens with HLB1500 or 600 lumens with AAA batteries.

Does the -40°C rating mean full output in extreme cold?

No. With HLB2500, Turbo is unavailable at -10°C or below, and High drops to about 400 lumens between -40°C and -30°C. These are operating conditions, not permission to charge below freezing.

Does changing the battery affect water resistance?

Yes: the HLB2500 configuration is IPX8, while the MBC10 case configuration is IPX6. Do not treat the AAA/HLB1500 setup as immersion-rated.

What runtime is useful for hiking?

With HLB2500, Low is rated for 17 hours 30 minutes at 100 lumens and Mid for 8 hours 45 minutes at 300 lumens. The 122-hour maximum is at 8 lumens; conditions affect runtime.

Can I choose a warm beam or red light?

Yes: choose warm 3000K, neutral 4500K or cool 6500K white light, plus separate red illumination. Warm light offers the highest colour rendering at CRI 98.
