The Nitecore HC35 is an L-shaped rechargeable headlamp that also works as a handheld or freestanding work light. Turbo delivers up to 2,700 lumens, with a maximum beam distance of 134 m. Its magnetic tailcap attaches to suitable steel surfaces, freeing your hands for repairs and close-up tasks.

A removable NL2140HP 4,000mAh 21700 battery is included. Compatible 21700 or 18650 replacements must deliver more than 8A; an 18650 requires the supplied battery magazine. Turbo is heat-regulated, so maximum brightness is not sustained throughout use.

  • Also runs on two CR123 or RCR123 cells, with Turbo unavailable; never charge these cells inside the HC35.

Does the HC35 charge by USB-C?

No. It uses Micro-USB to charge a compatible 21700 or 18650 Li-ion battery inside the light. Do not use its charging port with CR123 or RCR123 cells.

Which battery comes with the HC35?

The included battery is the removable NL2140HP 4,000mAh 21700. Compatible 21700 or 18650 replacements must deliver more than 8A; use the supplied battery magazine with an 18650.

Will it work with CR123 batteries?

Yes, it can run on two CR123 or RCR123 cells, but Turbo is unavailable with those batteries. They cannot be charged inside the HC35.

Does the 1,200-hour runtime apply to the included battery?

No: Nitecore measured that 1-lumen Ultralow result with a 5,000mAh battery, not the included 4,000mAh cell. Turbo is heat-regulated, so its maximum output is not a continuous-output promise.

Can I use it without wearing the headband?

Yes. The L-shaped light has a pocket clip and a magnetic tailcap that can attach to suitable steel surfaces or stand on its end. Keep the magnet away from items sensitive to magnetic interference.
