The Nitecore NU40 rechargeable headlamp provides hands-free white and red lighting for walks, campsite tasks and work after dark. Its white beam reaches a maximum distance of 100 m, with up to 1,000 lumens in Turbo for a brief look ahead. Turbo returns to the previous brightness after 30 seconds; use the regular Low, Mid or High settings for longer sessions.

The built-in 2,600mAh Li-ion battery charges through USB-C, so there are no loose cells to manage during routine charging. Weighing 116 g with its bracket and headband, the NU40 keeps both the battery and light together in one wearable unit.

Will the NU40 stay at 1,000 lumens?

No. Its 1,000-lumen Turbo is a temporary boost that returns to the previous brightness after 30 seconds. Use the regular Low, Mid or High setting for longer sessions.

How much does it weigh with the headband?

Can I turn on red light directly?

Yes. Hold MODE for one second while the light is off. Once red is on, the Power button switches between steady and slow-flashing red.
