The Nitecore HU2000 is an externally powered headlamp for users who want to run their lighting from a USB-C power bank. It offers up to 2,000 lumens and a rated maximum beam distance of 160 metres. Turbo requires a USB-PD power bank delivering at least 20W and steps down during use rather than maintaining maximum output.

A built-in 3.6V emergency battery provides about 30 minutes of Emergency light if external power fails during white-light use. This is backup lighting, not a standalone power supply: after switching off on backup power, the lamp cannot restart until external power returns.

  • Power bank not included; the standard package includes a headband, USB-C extension cable and connector protector.
  • The internal backup battery charges from external power while the headlamp is on.
  • Nitecore rates the 400-lumen setting for 17 hours using an NB10000 Gen3 under test conditions; actual runtime varies.
  • The headlamp is IP68-rated to two metres; this does not cover your separate power bank or connections.

What power source do I need?

Connect an external USB-C power source. To access 2,000-lumen Turbo, the power bank must support USB-PD and at least 20W output.

Is a power bank included?

No power bank is listed in the standard package. The headband, USB-C extension cable and connector protector are included.

What happens if the power bank runs out?
