The Nitecore MH12 V2 is a rechargeable flashlight with up to 1,200 lumens and a maximum rated beam distance of 202 metres. Its choice of battery formats makes it useful for everyday tasks and trips where spare-cell flexibility matters. A removable NL2150 5,000mAh 21700 battery is included.

Use the tail switch for momentary light with a half-press, or click it fully for continuous operation. Daily mode recalls any of the four brightness levels or Strobe and also provides SOS and Beacon. Tactical mode limits recall to High or Strobe. Maximum brightness is a peak specification, not a promise of constant output throughout a runtime test.

  • Supports one 21700, one 18650, or two CR123/RCR123 cells; use the included magazine for smaller formats.
  • USB-C charges compatible 21700 or 18650 Li-ion batteries inside the light. Never charge CR123 or RCR123 cells in it.
  • Mid is rated at 300 lumens for 8 hours with a 5,000mAh battery; actual results vary.

Which battery comes with the MH12 V2?

How do I charge it, and can it charge every compatible battery?

Use the flashlight’s USB-C port to recharge a compatible 21700 or 18650 Li-ion battery. The 5,000mAh cell takes about four hours with 5V/2A; never charge CR123 or RCR123 cells inside the light.

What does the 1,500-hour runtime refer to?

It is the published runtime at 1 lumen, not at full brightness. With a 5,000mAh battery, Mid is rated at 300 lumens for eight hours and Low at 55 lumens for 46 hours; actual results vary.

How are Daily and Tactical modes different?

Daily mode can recall any of the four brightness levels or Strobe and also offers SOS and Beacon. Tactical mode recalls only High or Strobe.

Can I turn it on momentarily without clicking?

Yes. Half-press and hold the tail switch for momentary light, then release to turn it off. A full click latches the light on or off.
